What is Domestic Violence?

Domestic violence is the emotional, physical, financial, verbal, or sexual abuse of ones spouse or domestic partner.

Domestic violence usually continues over a long period of time and gets more frequent and severe over time. Unfortunately, this matter has become prevalent in the Middle Eastern / South Asian community. More often than not, victims have no where to turn due to language barriers and cultural restrains.
